Sonar Pods, often known as Blisters or Fairings greatly improve the quality and efficiency of hydrographic surveys. Added buoyancy serves to offset the weight of the sonar apparatus while the foil profile helps the system move through the water with significantly less drag and turbulent noise.

This enables much faster survey speeds, a substantially higher signal-to-noise ratio, as well as a 20-40% reduction in CO2 emissions or fuel economies.
