R2SONIC 2024 POD FAIRING

The R2Sonic 2024 Pod Fairing greatly improves the hydrodynamic efficiency of the sonar system and ultimately the quality and efficiency of the survey at large. Added buoyancy serves to offset the weight of the sonar apparatus while the foil profile helps the system move though the water with significantly less drag and turbulent noise. This results in a substantially higher signal-to-noise ratio, as well as a 20-40% reduction in CO2 emissions. Sonar pods are the future of hydrography, enabling fast survey speeds and large swath angles that are otherwise unattainable.
